Thanks for the quick response! Spark plugs were replaced recently, so I don't think that's the issue. The engine misfiring seems more pronounced under acceleration. Could it still be something spark-related if the plugs are new?

In my case, the spark plugs were fine too, but the issue was still fuel related! The mechanic told me it was like a clogged artery, not letting enough fuel in. If it feels worse when accelerating, it could be a fuel delivery issue, like a fuel injector problem. I'd get it checked by a workshop. They can run proper diagnostics and pinpoint the exact fuel injector that's causing the engine misfiring.

Took the Ateca to the shop, and you were spot on! It was a faulty fuel injector. Replaced it, and the car is running smoothly again. Cost me 515€, but it's worth it to have it back to normal. Thanks again for the help!

Engine misfiring can be a real pain! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Have you checked the spark plugs? Sometimes it's the simplest thing.
