Seat Ateca GPS Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Ateca with a diesel engine experienced a GPS issue, with an error stored in the system and no GPS reception. The suspected cause was a defective GPS antenna. A similar case suggested checking the antenna connection for looseness or corrosion, but ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty antenna. The repair, costing around 200€, resolved the issue, restoring proper navigation functionality.

Where is the antenna located? Is it difficult to access?

On my Ateca, the GPS antenna is integrated into the shark fin antenna on the roof. Accessing it requires removing the interior headlining, which can be tricky. Given the cost estimate, it's probably best left to a workshop. They can properly diagnose and replace the antenna.

Thanks for the insight. The workshop confirmed a defective GPS antenna. Repair cost was as predicted, around 200€. Navigation is now working correctly.

I had a similar problem with my Seat Ateca. The car GPS just stopped working. Have you checked the antenna connection? It might be loose or corroded. Signal interference can also be a factor, but given the error code, I suspect a faulty antenna.
