Seat Ateca Oil Level Sensor Issue

I'm experiencing some issues with my 2019 Seat Ateca gasoline engine. I'm getting an error message about the oil level sensor. The oil warning light is on. The error memory also shows a fault related to the oil level sensor signal. I suspect it might be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The oil signal was going crazy, and the oil pressure light kept flashing. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the oil sensor? That was the culprit in my case.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the oil sensor located? Is it easy to check the cable and plug myself, or do I need special tools?

It's usually located near the oil pan. Honestly, unless you are comfortable working under the car and know what you are looking for, it's best to take it to a workshop. Messing with the oil system can be tricky. If the oil detection system is faulty, there is risk of damaging the engine.

Took it to the shop and they confirmed it was a faulty cable/connection to the oil sensor, just like you suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Thanks for the help!
