Seat Ateca problems (model year 2018) with the navigation system screen
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Seat Ateca is experiencing issues with its navigation system, suspected to be related to the screen. A similar problem in a Seat Leon FR was resolved by replacing a defective cable connection between the control unit and the display. It is suggested to check the cables and inquire about potential software updates at a garage, as these could resolve the issue without significant expense.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I have 218765 km on the odometer and my last service was about 5 months ago. Apart from that, everything else in the car works perfectly, except for the sat nav. I'll probably have the cables checked. Let's see what the garage has to say. LG

Hey, wow, that's quite a few kilometers on the clock! Sounds like your Seat Ateca is otherwise in good condition. If everything else is working, it's actually highly likely that it's just a small thing like the cable. It also wouldn't hurt to ask the garage if there are any software updates for the sat nav. Sometimes the system just hangs and an update can solve the problem. Keep us posted on what the workshop says! Good luck and hopefully your sat nav will be running smoothly again soon. LG

Hey, thanks for the tips! I will definitely ask the garage if there is a cable problem or if it just needs a software update. I hope it's nothing serious or expensive. I'll keep you posted on what comes out of it. LG

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2018 Seat Leon FR. The cable connection between the control unit and the display was defective (poor connection). I also suspected the screen at first, but after the check in the workshop that's what came out. They replaced the cable in the workshop, which cost me 165 euros. After that, the sat nav worked perfectly again. My experience in car repairs is rather limited, so I preferred to leave it to the professionals. Have you checked whether other functions in the car are also affected? Perhaps the fault lies elsewhere. Give us more information about your problem so that we can help you better! LG
