Seat Ateca wiper issues

Anyone experienced wiper issues with a Seat Ateca 2016 diesel? The windshield wipers stopped working completely. The error memory has registered something related to the wiper switch. The workshop thinks it's a defective cable or plug. Does 95€ sound right for that?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The wipers would just stop working randomly. Have you checked the fuse for the wiper motor? Also, does the turn signal work? They're often on the same stalk.

The turn signal works fine. Where exactly is the fuse box located? And could it really be just a fuse if the error memory shows a problem with the wiper switch?

The fuse box is usually under the steering wheel or in the engine compartment, check your manual. Yeah, even with an error code, a blown fuse is possible. But if the error points to the wiper switch and it's not the fuse, it's probably a bad connection like the workshop suspects. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself; those rain sensor connections can be finicky.

Took it to the shop. They found a faulty connection in the wiper switch wiring, as suggested. 95€ later, wipers are working. Thanks for the help!
