Seat Cordoba ABS Light Problem

Interesting! Yaw rate sensor, eh? Never thought of that. The wheel alignment seems okay, the car drives straight as an arrow. But where exactly is that yaw rate sensor located? And is there any way to test it myself before I end up spending a fortune at the workshop?

Yeah, it was a real pain. In my case, the yaw rate sensor was the culprit, which feeds information to the lateral sensor. Honestly, without proper diagnostic tools, testing it yourself might be tricky. It's usually located somewhere near the center of the car, often under the seat or console. Given the symptoms and the error code, it's highly likely the control unit or the sensor itself is faulty. To be honest, I'd recommend taking it to a trusted workshop. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact issue and replace the faulty part. It’s a safety issue, and ABS/Traction control are quite important.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! The lateral sensor was indeed faulty. They replaced the control unit – ouch, my wallet! – but at least the ABS and traction control are working perfectly again. The bill came to around 1000€. Thanks a million for your help and pointing me in the right direction. Really appreciate it!

Whoa, sounds like a headache! I had a similar issue with my old Vauxhall Astra, although it wasn't exactly the same. The ABS light kept popping on, and the system was throwing a fit. From what I remember, it could be a faulty yaw rate sensor messing with the lateral acceleration readings. Have you checked the wheel alignment? Sometimes, that can throw things off too. Is the steering wheel straight when driving on a straight road?
