Seat Cordoba Alarm System Fault

I've got a 2003 Seat Cordoba with a gasoline engine. The alarm system is completely dead and the error memory says there's a siren communication fault. I did a scan and it says it's likely a cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before? Super annoying since I can't even disarm the alarm properly!

Sounds like a dodgy connection to the siren. I had a similar problem with my Cordoba, alarm going nuts for no reason. Check the plugs and wiring first before you start replacing parts.

Interesting, what exactly was the issue with yours? Was it just a loose plug? Did you have to replace the whole wiring harness?

Yep, exactly the same signal problem! I fiddled with the plug and wiring for ages, but no luck. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They found a corroded connector and replaced it. If you're not comfortable with automotive electrics, I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally. Could save you a headache.

Thanks for confirming that! I went to the workshop and it turned out to be a faulty connector, as you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Alarm is working perfectly again!
