Seat Cordoba Bluetooth Pairing Problem
Summary of the thread
The main issue discussed is a Bluetooth pairing problem with a 2005 Seat Cordoba, where the phone suddenly refuses to connect, and a 'function restrictions' error is stored in the error memory. The concern is that it might be an electrical fault affecting critical systems like brakes. A suggested solution is to check for obvious issues like fuses, but ultimately, taking the car to a workshop is recommended. The workshop resolved the issue by clearing the error and re-pairing the phone, confirming it was a Bluetooth pairing problem rather than a deeper electrical fault.

Electrical fault... that's what I'm afraid of. What 'obvious stuff' are we talking about? 'Cause I've been messing with this for days. I was afraid it would be a steering or suspension issue but now you mention the electrical system and brakes as well... should I take it to the workshop?

Yep, exact same symptoms. Drove me nuts. I fiddled with it for ages, checking fuses and whatnot, thinking it was some deep electrical gremlin affecting everything from the fuel system to the stereo. In the end, I caved and took it to a workshop. Turned out it was just a dodgy Bluetooth pairing thing. They cleared the error and re-paired my phone in like five minutes. Seriously, save yourself the headache and just get it checked.

Dude, you were spot on! Took it to the workshop, they just re-paired my phone. 45€ and I'm back in business. Thanks a bunch for the help!

Whoa, sounds familiar. My Cordoba did the same thing last year. I was pulling my hair out! Thought it was some crazy electrical fault messing with the fuel system or even the steering. Did you check the obvious stuff first?
