Seat Cordoba Brake System Error

My 2006 Seat Cordoba with a gasoline engine is throwing a weird error. The speedometer keeps flashing a brake system error, and the braking effect is not optimal anymore. I pulled the codes, and it points to a faulty brake booster pressure sensor. Anyone else run into this I'm thinking maybe it's just old replacement parts, but I'm open to ideas.

Sounds similar to an issue I had with my Cordoba. Check your brake pedal feel, is it spongy Also, did you recently have any work done on the hydraulic brakes It might be related to that.

The brake pedal does feel a bit soft now that you mention it. And yeah, I had the brake lines bled a while back. Could a bad brake bleed really cause the brake booster pressure sensor to fail How does that even work

Yep, a bad bleed can definitely cause that. Air in the system messes with the pressure, which throws off the sensor. I'd get it checked at a workshop. They can properly bleed the brakes and replace the sensor if needed. It’s a vehicle safety concern, better safe than sorry.

Big thanks I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it. Incorrect brake bleeding was the culprit. New brake booster pressure sensor and a proper bleed, and it's all sorted. Cost me around 90€. Vehicle safety is back
