Interesting, I hadn't considered the power supply specifically. Where exactly did you find the loose connection on your Astra? Was it near the climate control panel itself, or somewhere else along the wiring harness?

In my case, the bad connection was right behind the climate control panel. I wiggled some wires, and suddenly, the blower motor started working again. But honestly, given your symptoms and the error code, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the wiring harness and check for any other potential electronic faults. It's probably a quicker and more reliable solution than chasing ghosts yourself.

Took it to the workshop. It was a faulty wiring harness to the climate control. They replaced the damaged section and cleared the error memory, and now everything seems to be working fine. Cost me 95€. Thanks for your input!

Sounds familiar. I had similar HVAC system issues with my old Opel Astra a few years back. The symptoms were almost identical: blower motor not working correctly, air con refusing to kick in, and some obscure electronic faults logged. Did you check the power supply to the climate control panel? A loose or corroded connection there can cause all sorts of problems.
