Seat Cordoba Diesel Defrost Flap Issue

My 2008 Seat Cordoba diesel is throwing a weird error. The error memory mentions something about the defrost air distribution flap being faulty. The heating output is definitely lower than it should be. I've got almost 200000 km on the clock. I'm thinking it's probably a dodgy cable or plug connection. Has anyone else run into this with their climate control?

Sounds familiar! Had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Was the temperature regulation all over the place? Have you checked the connections to the HVAC unit behind the dashboard panel? That ventilation system can be a real pain to get to.

Connections to the HVAC unit, huh? Is it a big job to get to those? And when you say 'all over the place', do you mean sometimes hot, sometimes cold air coming out?

Yep, pretty much! Sometimes hot, sometimes cold, like it couldn't decide what to do. Getting to the HVAC unit can be a bit of a pain, involves removing parts of the dashboard panel. Honestly, if you're not super confident, it might be worth getting a workshop to take a look. Could save you a headache.

Took it to a local shop, and they confirmed the cable issue with the defrost flap. 95€ later, and I've got proper heat again. Thanks for the help, really appreciate it!
