Backpressure readings are elevated. Are DPF cleaning or regeneration truly effective, or just temporary fixes? I'm trying to avoid throwing good money after bad, especially with 145420 km on the clock.

In my case, the DPF cleaning helped for a short while, but the underlying problem returned quickly. Forced regeneration also didn't make a lasting difference. Given the backpressure and mileage, it might be time to visit a workshop for a professional assessment.

The vehicle inspection confirmed the DPF is defective. Filter replacement was unavoidable and cost 1550€. Thanks for the insights.

Sounds like DPF issues are cropping up everywhere. I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane a few years back, experiencing reduced power and plumes of smoke. Have you checked the backpressure? What about trying a DPF cleaning or forced regeneration before considering full filter replacement?
