Seat Cordoba Diesel engine issue
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Seat Cordoba diesel was experiencing a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a loud hissing noise, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power. The suspected cause was a faulty boost pressure sensor and its cable or plug connection. After checking for leaks and confirming the issue, the defective boost pressure sensor cable was replaced, resolving the problem and restoring the vehicle's performance.

Where exactly should I be looking for these leaks? Is there a specific area of the turbo system I should focus on?

Definitely sounds like the boost pressure sensor. The cable issue is quite common. I suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper check. They'll pinpoint it. Good luck.

Confirmed. The boost pressure sensor cable was indeed defective. Replaced for 95€. Runs like new. Thanks for the input.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Cordoba. Check for leaks in the air intake and around the intake manifold first. Is the whistling noise constant or only under load?
