Seat Cordoba Diesel Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Seat Cordoba diesel is experiencing intermittent engine stalling at idle, accompanied by the check engine light and reduced power. Diagnostics indicate a faulty rail pressure sensor signal, suggesting sensor failure as the likely cause. Replacing the defective rail pressure sensor resolved the issue, confirming the initial suspicion.

Interesting. When you say similar, was the fault code also related to the rail pressure sensor signal or some other fuel pressure related issue?

Yes, the fault code pointed directly at the fuel rail pressure. Honestly, I didn't attempt any DIY fixes beyond checking the connections. Just took it to a workshop and they sorted it out pretty quickly, new sensor and all. Might be worth considering.

Defective rail pressure sensor was indeed the root cause. I replaced it and cleared the fault codes. Total expenditure amounted to 240€. I appreciate the input.

Sounds familiar I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, occasional engine stalling especially when idling, and a noticeable drop in power. Could it be related to the fuel pressure?
