That's interesting. Are you referring to the terminals on the battery itself? Or are there other connections to check? What signs should I look for, like corrosion or looseness?

Yes, I meant the terminals on the battery. Look for white or greenish corrosion, or if the cables wiggle when you move them. Cleaning and tightening fixed my starting problem, but the engine light stayed on until a mechanic reset the ECU. You might want to have the ECU checked to be sure there isn't another issue.

I wanted to say thanks. You were right. The battery cable connections were loose and corroded. After cleaning and tightening, the Cordoba started immediately. I had the ECU checked at a local shop, and they said the error was due to the voltage drop when starting. The diagnostic cost was 155€.

Sounds like what happened with my old Renault Megane. The engine light came on, and it wouldn't start. Have you checked the battery cable connections? A loose or corroded connection can cause electrical problems and trigger the ECU.
