Seat Cordoba ECU Problems

I am experiencing ECU problems with my 2007 Seat Cordoba, gasoline engine. The symptoms include reduced engine power, accompanied by an error stored in the error memory. Could a defective main relay be the likely cause, given these symptoms? I suspect vehicle electronics are at play here.

A faulty relay can cause intermittent power loss to the engine control unit, leading to all sorts of weird symptoms. Is the system reset correctly?

Yes, the error codes pointed to intermittent power supply issues. I didn't get into car diagnostics myself, because I am not an expert. I took it to a workshop, and they quickly identified the main relay as the problem. I recommend you do the same. It's a relatively inexpensive fix compared to replacing the entire engine control unit.
