Could you please elaborate on the main relay issue you experienced? Where is it located, and what were the specific error codes you encountered? Did you attempt any car diagnostics yourself before replacing it?

Yes, the error codes pointed to intermittent power supply issues. I didn't get into car diagnostics myself, because I am not an expert. I took it to a workshop, and they quickly identified the main relay as the problem. I recommend you do the same. It's a relatively inexpensive fix compared to replacing the entire engine control unit.

Thank you for your input. Indeed, the main relay was the culprit. Replacing it solved the ECU problems. Total cost amounted to 120€. Hopefully, this information will be helpful for other Seat Cordoba owners facing similar issues.

Reduced engine power and stored error codes sound familiar. I had a similar issue with my Cordoba. Have you checked the main relay that powers the ECU? A faulty relay can cause intermittent power loss to the engine control unit, leading to all sorts of weird symptoms. Is the system reset correctly?
