Seat Cordoba Heater Fan Issue

Alright so the heater fan has stopped working on my 2006 Seat Cordoba gasoline. The blower motor isn't running at all. I hooked it up to a diagnostic tool and it's throwing an error related to the air circulation. The car's only done 60531 km. I'm thinking it's a dead blower motor. Seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Cordoba some time ago. The HVAC system just quit. Did you check the cabin fan resistor? That's a common culprit before condemning the whole motor.

Resistor, eh? Whereabouts is that located? Is it something I can check myself without too much hassle?

The resistor is usually near the blower motor, often in the air duct to keep it cool. But honestly, if there's an error code and the motor's completely dead, it points towards the motor itself. Like a lightbulb blowing, sometimes they just go. I'd get it checked by a workshop to be sure.

Cheers for the input. Dropped it off at the garage; they confirmed it's the blower motor. Quoted 365€ to get it sorted. Hopefully, that's the end of it.
