Seat Cordoba Heating Output Low
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Seat Cordoba with a diesel engine was experiencing low heating output, with an error indicating a defective water valve in the cooling system. Possible causes included a valve blockage or a defective plug connection. The issue was resolved by replacing the defective water valve, as confirmed by a mechanic, and the heating system was restored to proper function.

Overheating? No, the temperature gauge is normal. But what exactly was the problem with your Opel, and what did you do about it?

In my case, the valve wasn't opening properly. It was stuck. The mechanic suggested that it might cause engine overheating in the long run, so I got it replaced. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked. Better safe than sorry.

You were right, it was probably the valve. I had the Seat in the workshop. Apparently, the water valve was defective, just as the error memory indicated. The mechanic also suspected the cable or plug connection. The final bill was around 95€. Everything works perfectly now. Thanks for your help!

Sounds familiar. Had something similar with my old Opel. The car heating was weak, especially at idle. Is your engine overheating?
