Seat Cordoba Oil Temperature Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Seat Cordoba owner is experiencing issues with the oil temperature warning light and intermittent oil pressure warning. Despite the oil level being fine, the problem is suspected to be a faulty engine oil temperature sensor or defective wiring. Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I checked the oil level, and it's fine. The error memory shows a fault related to the oil temperature sensor. That's why I'm leaning towards a problem with the sensor or its wiring. Did you also get an error code pointing to the oil temperature sensor?

Yes, the error code pointed towards the oil sensor as well. I spent hours checking the wiring, but it's a pain to trace everything. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the oil temperature sensor and some corroded connectors. Best to get it checked professionally; it'll save you time and potential headaches.

Took the Cordoba to the shop today. You were right. It was the oil temperature sensor because of a bad connection. They cleaned it and replaced some wiring. Cost 95€. Thanks again

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my Cordoba. The oil pressure light and the temperature warning were driving me crazy. Have you checked the basics like the oil level? Did you do diagnostics to read the error code? Knowing the code makes a difference.
