Wiring and plug connection, you say? Where exactly is that located? Is it difficult to get to? Is there anything specific I should look for?

Check the wiring and the plug itself. On my Megane, it was near the base of the windshield, under the plastic trim. Not too hard to get to, just a few screws. Look for any signs of corrosion, loose wires, or damaged insulation. Is it worth checking before paying someone to fix it? Definitely.

Took it to the shop. They confirmed the solar sensor fault and replaced it. Cost me 95€ as predicted. Heating is working perfectly now. Thanks for the advice!

Solar sensor fault on a 2005 Cordoba? Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms: error code and weak heating. Did you check the wiring and plug connection to the sensor? That's where my problem was. Seems like a common weak point.
