Interesting When you say 'similar issues', did you also have rough engine running and a stored error code in the error memory Was the air temperature reading also affected I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before taking it to a workshop

Yes, I did experience rough engine running, especially during cold starts. The diagnostic tool at the workshop confirmed that the intake air temperature sensor was providing incorrect data. The car sensor was replaced, and the engine issues disappeared immediately. Given your symptoms and the error code, it strongly suggests a defective intake air temperature sensor. It might be best to visit a workshop to get a proper diagnosis and replacement

That's fantastic I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took it to a local mechanic and, just as you suggested, the diagnostic tool pointed to the intake air temperature sensor. After replacing it, the engine light is gone, and the car is running smoothly again. The total cost was about 155€, including the sensor and labor. Thanks again for your help

I have a Seat Exeo as well, though I'm not sure about the exact build year. I experienced similar engine issues not too long ago. The check engine light kept appearing, and the engine seemed to lack its usual power. It might be worth checking your intake air temperature sensor. I recall reading somewhere that a faulty sensor can cause the engine to run rough, affect air temperature reading and trigger those symptoms. Perhaps a diagnostic tool could confirm it
