Coolant leak and exhaust system? I haven't checked. Could those cause the bypass valve error?

In my case, a faulty sensor triggered the bypass valve error. A workshop check might be a good idea. Better safe than sorry.

It was a faulty sensor. Bypass valve is okay. No repair costs. Thanks for the help.

I'm no mechanic, but I had a similar problem with my Renault Megane. Engine stalled and overheated. Error memory showed a bypass valve issue. Have you checked for coolant leaks or exhaust problems?
