Seat Exeo Fault Memory Lock Active
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Seat Exeo displayed a 'Fault memory lock active' error, suspected to be related to undervoltage. The issue was likely caused by a voltage drop affecting the control unit. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired by a professional, which confirmed the undervoltage problem and resolved the error by clearing the fault codes.

I haven't had the battery checked specifically. When you say 'voltage issue', are you thinking a completely dead battery, or something more subtle like a voltage drop while starting?

Yeah, a voltage drop is what I meant. If the voltage dips too low, it can scramble things and trigger that memory lock. Honestly, with that error and the undervoltage suspicion, I'd just take it to a decent auto repair. They can diagnose it properly and clear the active memory. Seems like a control unit issue if it's locking up.

The auto repair confirmed undervoltage was the problem. They cleared the fault codes and checked the control unit. It cost me 240€, but the issue is resolved. Thanks for the input.

Memory lock active, huh? That's a new one to me. What fault codes are you seeing exactly? Have you checked your battery recently? Could be a simple voltage issue.
