Seat Exeo rough running issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Seat Exeo with a gasoline engine was experiencing rough running, stalling at idle, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. The initial suspicion was a defective fuel pressure sensor, possibly due to a bad cable or plug. After inspecting the wiring, it was found that a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor was the cause. Repairing this connection resolved the issue, and the car is now running smoothly.

Fuel pump seems ok, but how exactly do I check the sensor wiring? What am I looking for?

Visually inspect the wiring for any breaks, frays, or corrosion. Ensure the connector is properly seated and the pins aren't bent or damaged. However, without proper tools and knowledge, diagnosing electrical issues can be tricky. If you're not comfortable, perhaps a workshop visit is the best course of action?

Thanks for the input. It was a defective connection to the fuel pressure sensor, like you suspected. 95€ later and it's running smooth again.

Rough running and stalling could point to fuel delivery issues. Has the fuel pump been checked? Is the check engine light giving any specific codes related to the fuel system or engine misfire? A faulty pressure sensor could certainly cause those symptoms, but a defective cable or plug seems plausible. Have you inspected the sensor's wiring for any obvious damage?
