How did you confirm it was the battery sensor specifically? Did you also have weak lights?

Yes, the flickering lights were a key symptom for me too. Initially, I suspected the alternator, but testing showed it was fine. A diagnostic check pointed to the battery sensor. Given your symptoms, I would suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop to confirm.

Replaced the battery sensor. Cost 315€. Hopefully, this solves the problem.

I also have a Seat Exeo and experienced similar issues. Have you checked the battery voltage when the engine is running? A faulty battery sensor can definitely cause those symptoms. It might be worth looking into battery health as well.
