Summary of the thread
A 2013 Seat Exeo with a gasoline engine experienced starting issues, including failure to start, engine shutdown while driving, and rough running. The initial suspicion was on the ignition switch or ignition coil. After investigation, the problem was identified as a defective fuse for the ignition switch, and replacing the fuse resolved the issue.

Where is the starter motor connection located?

My car had identical symptoms. It could be a number of things, but I suggest taking it to a workshop if you're not comfortable checking the electrical system. It sounds like an intermittent fault, which could be difficult to diagnose without the right equipment.

It was a defective fuse for the ignition switch. Replacing it fixed the problem. The cost was 52€.

I had a similar starting issue with my Exeo. Check the connections to the starter motor, it's worth inspecting.
