Seat Exeo Uneven Engine Running
Summary of the thread
The 2008 Seat Exeo is experiencing uneven engine running, with symptoms including a check engine light and jerking during acceleration. Initial concerns were raised about the crankshaft sensor or fuel pump, but a similar case suggested checking the oxygen sensor. Ultimately, the issue was identified as a leak in the exhaust system, which was repaired.

Interesting. Was the oxygen sensor the only problem, or did you experience any other issues alongside it?

In my case, the oxygen sensor seemed to be the main culprit, but the symptoms were very similar. Considering the check engine light and jerking, it might be a good idea to visit a workshop to get a proper diagnosis. Could be a number of things causing the issues.

It turned out to be a leak in the exhaust system. The repair cost 265€.

I have a similar Seat Exeo, and I had a similar issue with rough idle and jerking. Have you checked the oxygen sensor? It might be worth looking into. I am not a mechanic though, just my experience.
