Seat Exeo Windshield Wiper Problem

My 2013 Seat Exeo with a gasoline engine (125658 km) has a problem with the windshield wipers. They are not working at all. I scanned the error memory and there is an error stored related to the wiper switch. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my Exeo, though I wasn't getting an error code. The windshield wipers just wouldn't turn on sometimes, then would work fine the next day. The cruise control and turn signal were working properly though. Did you check the wiper motor fuse? It might be worth a look before you start chasing wires. Also, does your cruise control work?

Cruise control and turn signal are working fine. Where exactly was the issue with your windshield wipers? Was it also the wiper switch or somewhere else?

Okay, since the cruise control is working, it's probably not the stalk itself. Mine ended up being a loose connection in the wiper switch wiring. I couldn't pinpoint it myself and took it to a workshop. They confirmed the faulty connection and fixed it quickly. Given you have an error code pointing to the switch, I'd suggest doing the same unless you are comfortable troubleshooting electrical connections.

It was a faulty connection at the wiper switch. Cost me 95€ at the workshop, but the windshield wipers work now. Thanks for the assistance.
