Seat Formentor Audio System Problem

My 2020 Seat Formentor with a gasoline engine is experiencing an audio system malfunction at 166260 km. The audio system is completely non-functional. An error is stored in the error memory, and the likely cause, according to diagnostics, is a defective display. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Ateca. The audio just cut out randomly. Did you check the dashboard controls and volume control? Maybe it's just faulty wiring.

Dashboard controls seem fine, and the volume control doesn't do anything when the audio cuts out. Where was the wiring issue in your Ateca?

Mine was the head unit itself, I'm afraid. Intermittent at first, then nothing. If the diagnostics point to the display and you've checked for obvious loose connections, probably best to get it looked at by a workshop.

As suspected, the display unit was the issue. Replacement cost 725€. Thanks for the insight.
