Seat Formentor climate control problem

You mention checking the wiring harness. Where exactly is the interior temperature sensor located in the Megane, or Seat Formentor for that matter, and is it easy to access the connector? I'm pretty handy, so I might give it a look myself before taking it in.

In the Megane, it was behind the glove box, a real pain to get to. I'd guess the Formentor is similar, probably somewhere on the dash. Honestly, if you've got the error code and suspect a bad connection, it might be worth just having a workshop take a quick look. They can diagnose it properly, or at least confirm it's just the connector before you start tearing apart your dash. Could save you some time and potential headaches, and the sensor replacement isn't expensive either.

Took it to the shop as suggested. The climate issues were indeed related to a faulty connection on the HVAC sensor. They replaced the plug and cleaned the contacts, and now temperature control is working perfectly again. The total cost was 95€ Thanks for the advice!

Sounds familiar! I had similar climate control issues with my old Renault Megane. The HVAC sensor was throwing codes, and the AC wouldn't kick on. Have you checked the wiring harness and connector for the interior temperature sensor? Could be a loose or corroded connection causing the problem.
