Seat Formentor Diesel Alarm System Issue

I had a similar issue with my Formentor's alarm system. Check the wiring harness and connectors near the siren. Corrosion or loose connections are common culprits. Fault detection can be a pain. Has the alarm system functionality returned since you cleared the error?

Yes, the error message was very generic, just a communication fault. The siren itself is usually located within the wheel arch area, or under the hood near the windshield. However, I recommend you have the workshop check it properly to perform the alarm reset after the fixing the connection to ensure proper vehicle security.

The workshop found a faulty plug connection as suspected. They repaired it, and the siren communication fault is resolved. The final bill was around 95€. Thanks for your help!
