Seat Formentor Electrical Malfunctions and Navigation Issues

I am experiencing a rather concerning issue with my 2021 Seat Formentor featuring a gasoline engine. The vehicle exhibits general electrical malfunctions, and the navigation system is non-functional. Diagnostics suggest an implausible programming of the control unit. Has anyone encountered something similar? The projected repair cost is approximately 240€.

I had a similar issue with my Formentor! The navigation system kept freezing, and I also got some random electrical glitches. Did you check the onboard diagnostics for any specific error codes related to the control module?

Yes, there is an error stored in the error memory related to the control unit. Was the software malfunction the cause of the navigation system issue in your case as well? Did a software reset fix it?

That sounds very similar to what I experienced. In my case, the software bug was definitely the culprit behind the navigation issue and other electrical problems. I suggest taking it to a qualified workshop to perform a software reset of the control module.

Took it to the shop, and they confirmed the control module programming was indeed implausible. The software reset cost 240€, as initially estimated. Everything seems to be working correctly now. Thanks for the advice, it was very helpful!
