The throttle body hasn't been inspected yet. Is throttle cleaning something I can do myself, or does it require specialized tools or knowledge? Also, where exactly is the throttle position sensor located?

Throttle cleaning is possible DIY, but requires care to avoid damaging the throttle body. Plenty of guides online demonstrate the process. However, given the symptoms and your initial suspicion, it is advisable to take it to a workshop. A diagnostic scan might reveal fault codes pointing directly to the accelerator pedal module. It is very likely the cause.

The Seat workshop confirmed the defective accelerator pedal module. They replaced it, and the total repair cost was 205€. Thanks for your assistance!

High fuel consumption and poor starting on a gasoline engine often points to issues in the air intake or fuel delivery. Has the throttle body been inspected? A dirty or malfunctioning throttle body can significantly impact engine idle and overall performance. Consider checking the throttle position sensor as well, its readings influence fuel trim.
