Seat Formentor Heating Problem

My 2020 Seat Formentor with a gasoline engine is having heating issues. The heating output is too low, and I've found an error related to the defrost air distribution flap in the error memory. Given the mileage, I suspect it might be a defective cable or plug connection. Any thoughts?

I understand your predicament. I once encountered a similar anomaly with my previous vehicle, a Volvo XC60. The symptoms you describe, reduced heating output and an error code related to air distribution, resonate with my past experience. In my case, the issue manifested as a malfunction in the blend door actuator, responsible for directing airflow across the heater core. I am curious, have you conducted a thorough inspection of the dashboard panel to ascertain the integrity of the blower motor? Furthermore, have you examined the air circulation pathways for any potential obstructions?

Interesting. When you say blend door actuator, are you referring to the same component as the defrost air distribution flap? Also, could you elaborate on how you diagnosed the issue with the Volvo?

Affirmative, the blend door actuator and the defrost air distribution flap perform analogous functions, albeit potentially under different nomenclature. As for the diagnostic process undertaken with the Volvo, I employed an OBD-II scanner to retrieve the specific Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). Subsequently, I consulted the vehicle's service manual to ascertain the location of the actuator and its associated wiring harness. Upon visual inspection, I discovered evidence of corrosion on the connector pins. Considering the complexities inherent in modern automotive climate control systems, I would strongly advise seeking the counsel of a qualified technician. The climate control module might require recalibration.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed a faulty connection as suspected. 95€ later, and the temperature regulation is working properly again.
