Seat Formentor Hybrid Engine Issues

I'm seeking some wisdom. My 2022 Seat Formentor hybrid is throwing a check engine light. It's also got a rough idle, and occasionally the engine stalls completely at idle, which is concerning. When accelerating it jerks a lot. My suspicion is a defective fuel pressure sensor. I've checked the basics, like error codes, but haven't had time to dig deeper. Thinking it might be a cable or plug connection issue to the sensor itself. Has anyone experienced this?

I had something similar with my Formentor. Check engine light was on, rough idle sometimes. Is the fuel injector doing its job correctly? Does the engine stalling happen more when it's cold? Sounds like it could be related to the fuel pump relay or even the fuel filter. Fuel pressure sensor is possible too, that sounds like a plausible cause.

Interesting. When you say 'similar', do you mean you also experienced the jerking when accelerating? And did you also have the engine stalling at idle? I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities before I start tearing things apart. Any specific steps you took to diagnose the fuel pressure sensor, or was it just a process of elimination?

Yep, all the same symptoms. Jerking under acceleration, especially noticeable at lower speeds. And yes, the engine stalling at idle was a constant issue. I didn't have the equipment to properly diagnose the fuel pressure sensor myself. Honestly, I took it straight to the workshop. They were able to pinpoint the faulty sensor pretty quickly. Best to get it checked professionally.

On the fuel pressure sensor issue, it turned out to be a faulty plug connection, like you suspected. I replaced it and cleared the check engine light. It's running smooth again. Total cost was 95€, not bad. Thanks for the help.
