EVAP system, alright. Where exactly should I be looking? Any specific components or areas that are prone to issues?

On the Megane, the issue was indeed related to the tank ventilation. Specifically, a cracked hose connected to the valve. I'd suggest inspecting all hoses related to the EVAP system for any signs of damage or blockage. If you're not comfortable doing that, a workshop should be able to diagnose it quickly. They often have smoke machines to check for leaks in the EVAP system.

It was the tank ventilation valve. Faulty hoses, as suspected. Replaced, error cleared, and all good. Cost me 175€. Thanks for the input.

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, although it was a petrol engine. The engine light was constantly on, and the car would occasionally stall at idle, especially after refueling. Have you checked the EVAP system for any leaks? A faulty gas cap or a damaged pressure sensor could also trigger those symptoms.
