Seat Formentor Hybrid Engine Light Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Seat Formentor hybrid with 189,602 km had a persistent check engine light issue. The problem was suspected to be related to the air intake system, specifically the throttle body or air valve. Upon inspection at a workshop, a defective hose connection from the pump to the air valve was identified and replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't noticed any engine stalling, but where exactly should I be looking in the air intake system? What am I looking for, and what exactly do you mean by 'throttle body' and 'air valve'?

It does sound like an air supply issue. The throttle body controls the amount of air entering the engine, and the air valve regulates it. A leak in the system can trigger the check engine light. Honestly, with those kilometers on the clock, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop.

Took my Formentor to the workshop as suggested. They found a defective hose connection from the pump to the air valve causing an air supply issue. They replaced it, and the check engine light is now off. Total cost was 175€. Thanks for your help!

I had a similar issue with my Formentor. The check engine light kept coming on. Have you checked the air intake system? It could be related to the throttle body or the air valve itself. Is the engine stalling?
