Seat Formentor Hybrid engine trouble

I'm at my wit's end. My 2021 Seat Formentor hybrid is completely dead. It has 123111 km. The engine simply won't start. The check engine light is on, and I suspect an engine control malfunction. I'm worried it might be an ECU failure or something related to the fuel injection system. I did a quick check and suspect it might be bad cable connections of the battery. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Formentor. The engine light came on, and it wouldn't start sometimes. Check engine warnings were all over the dash. Did you notice anything unusual before it completely failed?

Interesting, thanks. What exactly did you experience? Was it a complete no-start, or was it struggling? And were there any specific warning messages related to fuel injection or ECU failure?

Yes, it was a complete no-start situation. Sometimes it would crank but not fire, other times nothing at all. I did see some fuel injection related messages, but it was all a bit of a blur. If you suspect the battery connections, check them thoroughly, but honestly, I'd get it to a workshop. Could be more serious.

You were right. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be bad cable connections to the battery. They cleaned and tightened everything, and now it's running perfectly. Cost me 155€, which I'm happy to pay to have it sorted. Thanks a lot for your help.
