Seat Formentor Overheating Issue

I had something similar happen on my Formentor. Check your active air flap, part of the air intake system. Is your engine overheating?

How did you know it was the active air flap? What fault code did you get?

Yeah, overheating was the big clue for me too. The fault code pointed directly to the active air flap being defective. Best get it checked properly at a workshop to be sure.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the shop and they confirmed it was the active air flap electromechanism. They're quoting me 590€ to fix it. Sounds like what you experienced.
