Seat Formentor Sunroof Issue After Coding

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my 2022 Seat Formentor diesel, with 157120 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'sunroof not initialized' error. The sunblind is now stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close. It seems to have occurred after some coding was carried out on the vehicle. Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a known fix?

I had a similar issue with my Formentor. The sunroof operation went completely haywire after some coding modifications. Did you try a sunroof reset?

Thanks for your reply. When you mention a sunroof reset, is that something I can do myself, or does it require specialized equipment? I'm not very familiar with the sunroof mechanism.

Yes, it was exactly the same. Sunblind stuck, roof inoperable. I wasn't able to resolve it myself. I would suggest taking it to a workshop for a proper sunroof calibration.

Thanks for the confirmation. I took it to a workshop; they diagnosed a coding error affecting the sunroof control. After a sunroof reset and recalibration, everything is working again. Cost me 75€.
