Seat Formentor windshield washer problem

I'm experiencing an issue with my Seat Formentor 2023 Hybrid. The car has about 153690 km on it. The windshield washer heater seems to be faulty. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and the spray nozzles freeze up when temperatures drop. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. I'm trying to avoid a costly repair if it's something simple I can fix myself. Any ideas or similar experiences? This is impacting my winter driving, and I rely heavily on my windshield wipers.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia a few years back. The windshield washer wouldn't spray properly, especially during winter driving. Have you checked the washer motor itself? Sometimes they can get weak or fail completely.

Thanks for the quick response! I have not checked the washer motor itself. I was focusing on the heater because of the error code. Where exactly is the washer motor located, and is it something I can easily check myself without special tools? Also, did you have clogged nozzles as well?

Mine was doing the same with clogged nozzles, yes. I'm no expert, but in my Skoda, the washer motor was accessible after removing the wheel well cover. I'd suggest just taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose the issue quickly and save you the hassle. The error code points to the heater, so it's likely that. Don't want you messing with the electrics yourself!

I took your advice and had the windshield washer heater checked. It was a defective cable connection, as suspected. The dealership replaced it, and the error is gone. The cost was 95€ Thanks again for your help!
