Seat Ibiza AC compressor issue

I'm having a bit of a nightmare with the A/C system on my 2016 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine. It's got 144973 km on the clock, and suddenly the A/C compressor just shuts off randomly. The air conditioning no longer cools. Naturally, I scanned for errors, and there's indeed one stored related to the A/C system. My gut feeling says it's related to undervoltage, but before I start tearing things apart, has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm thinking of checking the pressure sensor and the relay switch. Any advice on where to start?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Seat Leon A/C system a while back. Is the compressor clutch engaging at all? Have you checked the pressure sensor? I'm wondering if it could be a similar problem...

Interesting. So, when you say undervoltage, what exactly was the culprit in your case? Was it a faulty sensor, a bad connection, or something else entirely? Did you also check the HVAC system fuses?

Yep, undervoltage caused by a failing relay switch. The A/C system is quite sensitive to voltage drops. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop; they can pinpoint the exact cause much faster with proper diagnostic tools. Saved me a lot of time and headaches.

Massive thanks for the info! It turned out to be exactly as you described: undervoltage. The workshop found a faulty relay switch causing intermittent A/C compressor shut off. 240€ later and the A/C is blowing cold again. Also, they checked the belt tensioner to be sure. Really appreciate your help!
