Seat Ibiza Air Conditioning Problem

I'm at my wit's end with my 2012 Seat Ibiza (diesel engine). The air conditioning has packed it in, and it's throwing up an error related to the rear ventilation flap. The climate control unit is malfunctioning, and the air con is blowing warm air. I've checked the error memory with a diagnostic tool, and it points to a problem with the rear ventilation flap. From what I can gather, it's likely a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this? It's driving me nuts because the rear passengers are roasting!

Hey, I had something similar happen in my Ibiza. Air con was blowing warm air, and I could hear a weird clicking sound sometimes. Is your air circulation also affected? Turns out it was a problem with the rear vents too. I didn't get any error codes though, which is strange.

That sounds really similar! The air circulation seems okay, but the air con definitely isn't cooling like it should. Where exactly was the issue with your rear vents? Was it a big job to fix? I'm hoping it's not too expensive, as I've already spent a fortune on car repairs this year!

Yeah, definitely sounds like the same thing. I'm no mechanic, but I'd bet it's a similar flap actuator issue. To be honest, I just took it straight to the workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. Best to get them to check the connections and the actuator itself. At least you know what to tell them to look for!

You're a lifesaver! Took it to the workshop, they diagnosed it as a faulty connection to the rear ventilation flap actuator, just like you said. Cost me 95€ for the HVAC repair, but now the air conditioning is ice cold again, and the rear passengers aren't complaining! Massive thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'd been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the automatic climate wasn't working properly. Really appreciate your help!
