Seat Ibiza Automatic Temperature Control Problem

My 2000 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine is driving me crazy. The automatic temperature control stopped working at 123675 km. The air conditioning won't switch on. Error memory indicates a faulty interior temperature sensor. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Is this a known issue?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Ibiza. Is the air conditioning light on the dashboard flashing or anything?

Familiar how? Did you experience the exact same symptoms? What fixed it for you?

Yep, same symptoms. If I remember correctly, the climate regulation was totally off. I didn't troubleshoot it myself. I just took it to a workshop. They replaced the sensor, and everything was fine afterwards.

Problem resolved. It was the interior temperature sensor after all. The cable connection was the culprit. Cost me 95€ at the shop, and the climate control is back in action. Thanks for the pointer!
