Seat Ibiza brake issue

I'm having a problem with my 2003 Seat Ibiza with a gasoline engine. It has 181816 km on the clock. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, and the braking is noticeably poor. I scanned it and it's showing a brake booster pressure sensor failure. I suspect it might be related to the brake system having been bled incorrectly in the past. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Ibiza. Error message and poor braking. Have you checked the ABS system at all? That's where I started looking.

Interesting, you think it's related to the ABS? What exactly did you find when you checked yours? Was it the pressure sensor as well?

Yes, it was the pressure sensor on mine too. The garage said the faulty bleed probably damaged it. I'd definitely get it checked out by a professional. Vehicle safety is paramount, and it affects the ABS system. New replacement parts are essential.

The problem is sorted. A local garage confirmed the brake booster pressure sensor was faulty, probably from an earlier incorrect brake system bleed. The repair cost 90€, including parts and labor. Brakes are now working perfectly, and the error message is gone. Thanks for the help.
