Seat Ibiza cruise control problem
Summary of the thread
The 2008 Seat Ibiza's cruise control system stopped functioning, displaying an error message on the speedometer. Diagnostics suggested a potential defect in the cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a faulty connection within the throttle body system. Repairing this connection restored the cruise control functionality.

You mention the throttle body. Was the error message you received the same? Did a diagnostic tool specifically point to the throttle body connection, or was it more general?

Yes, the error message was identical, and after running diagnostics, it indicated a faulty system related to the throttle body. Given the stored error memory points towards a defective connection, it is likely the same problem. My recommendation would be to visit a workshop to confirm, but it sounds very familiar.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I took it to a workshop, and indeed, the diagnostics pointed to a faulty connection within the throttle body system, precisely as you suggested. The repair, including parts and labor, amounted to 95€. Cruise control is now fully functional again.

I had a similar issue with my Seat Ibiza some time ago. Cruise control suddenly became non-functional, and the speedometer displayed an error message. Did you perform any diagnostics? Have you checked the throttle body?
