Seat Ibiza diesel engine issue

My 2018 Seat Ibiza diesel is throwing a check engine light and has reduced engine power, with noticeable smoke when accelerating. Suspect crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. Anyone experienced this?

I had something similar with my Seat Ibiza, although I have the petrol version. The engine was idling rough, and the car felt sluggish. I'm no mechanic, but have you checked for any obvious leaks around the engine? Maybe a hose has come loose?

When you say 'similar', was the check engine light also on? And did you notice any smoke, particularly under acceleration?

Yes, the check engine light was on, and while I didn't see smoke, there was a distinct smell. It was the PCV valve. Honestly, I'd get it checked out by a professional if you're seeing smoke. Could be something more serious.
