Seat Ibiza Diesel fog sensor issue

I am writing to inquire about an issue I am experiencing with my 2011 Seat Ibiza diesel. The vehicle has 143008 km. There is an error stored in the error memory regarding the fog sensor. This malfunction is causing the air conditioning system not to switch on, the spray nozzles to freeze at cold temperatures, and the mirror heating is non-functional. Could this be an electrical issue related to the fog sensor? I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. I am trying to assess if a sensor calibration may fix the problem.

I also own a Seat Ibiza, though not the same year. I experienced similar issues with the air conditioning, frozen spray nozzles, and mirror heating. It might be related to a faulty fog sensor. This component helps the car determine visibility. Have you checked the sensor's connection and wiring for any damage?

Thank you for your reply. When you had a similar issue, did you try any troubleshooting steps, or did you take it directly to a professional? How can I check the sensor connection?

In my case, the issues were identical. Due to the car sensor's location and complexity, I chose not to attempt the repair myself. I suggest a workshop visit for proper diagnosis and repair. They have diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem. "Car sensor" refers to any sensor used in the car to monitor different functionalities, "Sensor calibration" means adjusting the sensor to its original factory settings so it works properly.

I appreciate the confirmation. I took the car to the workshop, and they found a defective cable connection to the fog sensor, as you suggested. Repair cost was 95€. All systems are operational again. Thank you for your advice.
