When you say 'loose connection', where exactly should I be looking? I'm not very good with electrics, to be honest. Is it something I can check myself, or is it best left to a professional?

Well, in my case, it was the connection to the switch itself. But honestly, if you're not comfortable with electrics, it might be best to take it to a workshop. The error stored in the memory also points towards a deeper issue. They can diagnose it properly and prevent further electrical problems.

The issue is resolved. It was a faulty light switch, as suspected, and the repair cost 95€. Thanks for the help.

That sounds like a tricky electrical problem. I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane. The dashboard lights would flicker, and sometimes the tail lights wouldn't work properly. Have you checked the light switch itself? Maybe there's a loose connection.
