Seat Ibiza Diesel Rough Idling
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Seat Ibiza diesel is experiencing rough idling and an engine mount error, suspected to be caused by a bad connection, possibly a faulty cable or plug. The issue could stem from a loose or corroded wiring harness or plug, or degradation of the rubber engine mount. It is suggested to inspect these components, but professional evaluation is recommended to rule out internal engine damage. Ultimately, a mechanic identified and fixed a faulty connection, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! What do you mean by the rubber mount degrading? Can I inspect that myself, or should I take it to a shop?

Degrading means the rubber mount might be cracked, torn, or collapsed. You can visually inspect it, but subtle damage can be hard to spot. Since you're seeing an electrical error, a faulty connection is likely. However, a failed mount can cause error codes too. It might be best to get a professional opinion to rule out any internal engine damage.

I wanted to let you know that the mechanic found a faulty connection to the engine mount. It cost 95€, but the car is running smoothly now. Thanks for the assistance!

Uneven idling and an error code suggest a problem with your engine mount. I would check the wiring harness and plug for damage or corrosion. A loose or corroded connection can cause intermittent problems. Also, the rubber mount itself could be degraded.
